Matignon Technologies II is one of the first European funds to focus predominantly on medical technologies and services. It draws inspiration from the strategy of Matignon Technologies I, launched in 2000 with a capital of €50M, which has invested in activities such as bioresorbable cardio stents, pulmonary and oesophageal stents, computer assisted surgery navigation software, glucose monitoring, sleep apnoea, HIV non progression diagnostics, molecular diagnostics in oncology as well as clinical research organizations.
Matignon Technologies II expects to invest in 20 to 25 early stage or mature companies, mainly European, in medical technologies and services, as well as in other technology sectors known by the team. Amounts invested will vary between €0.5M to €8-10M per company, enabling it to finance both early-stage and other more mature companies.
Matignon Technologies II is closed at €80M on 30 June 2007.
