Plan-les-Ouates/Genève, March 30th 2009 – ANTEIS has just raised CHF 7.0 million to finalise the launch of its innovative range of aesthetic dermatology products in the US. Matignon Investissement et Gestion which led the financing round was joined by ANTEIS existing investors, Signet Healthcare Partners and BB Biotech. As a major player in the field of injectable hyaluronic acid in dermatology aesthetics, ANTEIS is now entering the final stage of the preparation of its Geneva facility to the cGMP. ANTEIS and Merz Pharmaceuticals (license agreement) expect to submit the PMA (PreMarket Approval) to the FDA this summer.

For Gilles Bos, CEO of ANTEIS, this second fundraising opens new perspectives: “the first round offinancing enabled us to acquire the production site of Lonay (Switzerland) in December 2007, and has transformed ANTEIS into an autonomous and integrated manufacturer. At the same time, our company has been able to generate a higher growth than the aesthetics market, has successfully launched its activities in ophthalmology and is now preparing to launch an intra-articular injectable product in rheumatology. With this second fundraising, we will now be able to start marketing our products on the U.S. market thanks to a dedicated production site, under validation process for FDA approval. "
