IPSOGEN to undertake pilot study on JAK2 cancer biomarker with ASTRAZENECA |

Marseille, December 3, 2007 – IPSOGEN, a leading molecular diagnostic company based in France and Connecticut, USA today announced that it has entered into a pilot agreement with AstraZeneca to evaluate molecular services and products in cancer research. Under the terms of the agreement, IPSOGEN will provide AstraZeneca with JAK2-based products for initial evaluation. IPSOGEN will conduct quantitative analysis in its Marseille laboratories on samples provided by AstraZeneca. The study will help determine the viability of a test which could potentially be utilized by AstraZeneca in future clinical trials. IPSOGEN is the exclusive worldwide licensee of the intellectual property on JAK2 V617F mutation discovered by the INSERM team of Dr. Vainchenker at Institut Gustave Roussy, Paris [1].
